| China International Exhibition Center
belongs to China International Exhibition Center Group Company,
located in the north of Beijing CBD, inside the east road of
North Ring-3 Road. Since its foundation in 1985, there have
been more than 900 exhibitions of different kinds held there,
and it has the exhibition area of more than 10M sq.m. The exhibition
center possesses 10 exhibition halls of 70,000 sq.m, the parking
lots of 10,000 sq.m, the container ground of 10,000 sq.m, and
the custom bonded warehouse of 3,000 sq.m. It has large report
hall, meeting room, technical communication room, trade negotiation
room, Chinese & western food hall etc., and it is 10 kilometers
from the city center, 5 kilometers from the embassy zone, only
20 kilometers from the capital airport, and there are more than
20 hotels around there, which all provide reliable safeguard
for the successful holding of the exhibition. |

| The most potential food processing and packaging market in the world |
In 2004, with the common efforts of
the whole industry, China’s food and packaging machinery industry
attained great achievement, its product sales income reached
RMB 55.8164B Yuan, with the rise of 21.34% over 46B Yuan of
the previous year, and the number of employees only increased
2.27%, the product sales ratio was 98.23%, better than the previous
year. In 2004, the packing machinery industry imported goods
worth 1,948,643,800 dollars, with a rise of 11.99% over 1.74B
dollars of the previous year. Among export equipments, packaging
machinery were worth 278,456,100 dollars, with a rise of 39.92%
over 199M dollars of the previous year. Especially from January
to September, with the continuous expanding in the trade deficit
of the machinery industry, the food and packaging machinery
industry had the favorable balance of 530M dollars.
At present, among the food consumed by the city and town residents
of China, the processed food only accounts for about 35%. In
developed countries, food resources could enter market only
after being processed, which requires that we should promote
the development of our food processing industry and then promotes
the development of our food processing industry and improves
the demand for food and packaging machinery, and there contains
great commercial opportunities.
In 2005, it is predicted that the production value of China’s
food processing industry and packaging industry will reach 44B
Yuan, with annual growth rate of 10%. And it is predicted that
in 2005, the total amount of domestic market demand will reach
85B Yuan. From the situation of 2004, the import amount increased
little, therefore the market occupation proportion of domestic
equipments will rise up in 2005. It is predicted that until
2010, the total sales amount of the domestic industry will reach
130B Yuan, the market demand will reach 200B Yuan. In recent
years, China has imported packaging and food machinery worth
2B dollars, and has become the worlds’ second largest packaging
machinery import country.
At present, the technical level of our food and packaging
machinery has been close to the international level, which further
reinforces our competition strength in the packaging machinery
industry, and therefore our packaging industry may easily face
the attack of WTO on China in recent years. |
